The 179th Hadleigh Show on Saturday 20th May 2017 was a great family day out

The Devil's Horsemen Cossack Trick RidersWe were pleased to be welcome The Devil's Horsemen Cossack Trick Riders to the main ring, whilst our popular machinery demo showed you how your onions are grown locally.

Other ringside entertainment included The Sheep Show, Vintage Tractors, Young Farmers Tug-o-War, falconry displays, The Dog & Duck Show and Dog Agility by TAG.

The Education team got very “egg-cited” about their new location and will be helped visitors find out all about chickens and eggs with crafts, demos and art from local schools.

The Cookery Demonstration area was back with mouth-watering food prepared and cooked by local chefs, led by Malcolm Long of the Barn at Assington.

Over 160 trade stands will be showcased their businesses including 42 local producers in the Food Hall. 2 catering courts offered a wide range of tasty food and snacks to suit all the family. The Flower Show, Rural Craft and Art Marquees were, as usual, filled with a spectacle of colour and talented craftsmen.

Livestock played an important part in our show and with over 150 classes of cattle, sheep, goats and horses it was easy to get up close to these wonderful animals whilst they were judged.
