Cookery Theatre

This year we dedicate our Cookery Theatre to our friend Marko David, who passed away suddenly last year.  He will be sorely missed as the life and soul of the Cookery demonstrations at the Hadleigh Show.  We have done our very best to put on a cookery line up that he would be proud of and we are hugely grateful to Annie, his wife, for her huge support in putting this year together and Terri Newman of Erivica Cakes for taking on the compere role and being an absolute gem in bringing our cookery theatre together again.

The line up is as follows:-

10.30am          Dan Leathers, DPL Catering showcasing his skills as a local chef, cooking for the crowds

11.00am          Thomas Leatherbarrow - Thomas has a history as long as your arm! He has worked all over the world for our own and foreign royal families. He is a trained patissier, chocolatier and much more. He will be bringing his wide experience to our Hadleigh Show

11.30am          Freddie Fallon from Bildeston Crown and Nedging Hall Estate

12noon            Ready Steady Cook  with James Barber and Steve Walpole going head to head with ingredients from the showground

12.30pm          The Great British Bacon Sarnie two young chefs battle to produce the best bacon sarnie

1pm                 Amy Knight - canapes for family

1.30pm            Mike Warner – A Passion for Seafood - talking about and prepping local crab and lobster, how we catch them and how to buy, prep them and cook some delicious meals using them.

2.00pm            Terri Newman, Erivica Cakes, Hadleigh. The business is named after Terri's mum who was her inspiration. The most beautiful cakes you’ll ever see!

2.30pm            Justin Kett, The Fork Deli in Hadleigh

Justin has been a chef for over 20 years, heading up the Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh, head chef at the Swan’s kitchen in Lavenham and now owner of Fork Kitchen & Deli in Hadleigh.

3.00pm            George Debman – award winning butcher is back again for some “little people” friendly fun – get involved with sausages!
